required training in order to obtain a California Guard Card.

to get a California Guard Card / California Security Guard

1 "The Course": Complete the state
certified training which consists of the following
topics and subjects.

can be completed at home over the internet or in person

recieve a Certificate of Completion and LiveScan forms.

2 "Fingerprint": With the fingerprint
livescan forms provided in the first step you will
need to visit a local livescan provider such as a
Police Department, Sheriffs Office, or Private Livescan
Provider in order to have your prints submitted to
the FBI and DOJ for processing. Once you complete
this step you will be provided with an automated transaction
number (ATI) on the form used to submit your prints.

3 "Apply": Submit your application
to the State of California in order to obtain approval
for a Security Guard registration / Guard Card you
will need the Certificate of Completion to obtain

application and wait for approval (avg. 4-5 business
